I have a BA in Fine Art & Theatre, MEd in Art Education and a PhD in art education and cultural theory. These have been activated as reflective sites that have supported an active and varied career in art, art and design education, art curation and writing. Positions have ranged from directing the Fibre Exchange at The Banff Centre, to teaching in education at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and now as Assistant Professor, Art & Design Education Lab, in Cross Disciplinary Art Practices, Director of 113Research (a research creation galley), and Co-leader of Creative Research Inclusive Practices (CRIP) Lab all at OCADU. I am also a research fellow in graduate education at NSCAD and Artistic Director for the feminist community-based program WIAprojects where I curate exhibits, program events, and publish monographs.
As a queer disability performance and visual artist, I have exhibited and performed across Canada and internationally, solo and as ARTIFACTS with Leena Raudvee.
